I feel like every time this sub shows up on my front page it’s some weird motivational message that I can’t help but roll my eyes at. I definitely want people to be okay with the fact that they stutter, but it’s still a disability. I don’t want people to be delusional about their condition and act like it doesn’t suck that they have a stutter when they know deep down that it does. We don’t need to act like we’re proud of the fact that we stutter. We just need to find ways to succeed in life in spite of it. If we’re able to do that, that’s what we should be proud of. Not the fact that we stutter.
