The more I stuttered openly to people —including baristas, cashiers, telemarketers, colleagues, strangers in general — the more I received positive feedback from them. The key was mentioning that I stuttered whenever I saw a puzzled look on their face, or a smirk, whatever. And the more they saw me as a confident and really brave guy. Especially from women who looked at me like I was a hero. Definitely great for my self-confidence :)
