Languages are amazing, I'm glad we agree! I'd never want it to be a crutch for him. Even if he brought it up himself I'd make sure he was also trying to get comfortable with talking too. I understand its a tricky subject so I appreciate all the perspectives on it. I think what I'll do is wait to see what he says he needs rather than asking reddit what "people who stutter" want, cause everyone's gonna have their own ways of feeling comfortable :) Thanks so much for taking the time to respond, I'll definitely check out that book as well!
