I would sign up for speech therapy before anything else, because that seems to be the source. You'd know better though - do you stutter because of anxiety, or do you get anxiety because you stutter? That matters. I went to a speech patholigst years ago, and it did really help me. I wasn't cured, but it does cure many people. I always recommend it, it's really worth a go. Just stay committed to practicing, and let the people you're around know you stutter because that will eliminate a lot of anxiety. Trying to "not let it show" because you want it hidden, adds soooo much anxiety - it does for me. Once the person I'm talking to knows, I can calm down a bit. I dread the reactions of "are you OK?" every time I stutter in front of someone who isn't aware. That being said, don't plan on therapy being a cure, plan on it being progress. Any progressive remedy for our speech is a huge win, so I hope it works out! Good luck and keep us updated.
