From the mouth of babes I (31F) have a 6 year old son. I stutter on many words but frequently words that start with S. it comes out as a prolonged sssssss sound. I was watching my 6 year old speak with a friend after school about favourite animals he told his friend “my moms favourite animal is a snake.” It is not, I don’t like snakes. We left and in the car I asked him why he said my favourite animal is a snake and he said “well it is isn’t it” I said “no” he then said “oh I thought it was because you always make the snake sound”. This whole time whenever I would stutter and prolong “s” words, my son thought I was just imitating a snake (my favourite animal 😂). I thought I’d share because it gave me a good laugh and hope you laugh too!
