That's great to hear! I have(had in a sense) a very severe stutter. The McGuire Programme was my last chance. I had tried everything before. I was similar to you, I had a bit of a relapse after my second course a few weeks back, but I've recently picked it up thanks to the support system on the course. My primary coach met up with me and we basically did a full day of contacts and training. I was back on track again. Courses after your first course will be a lot less intense, and I think that's a problem the course has. I've actually talked on length with Dave himself about it and there's probably going to be reform in that regard. People can choose to join the lines with the new students and do as they would. Keeping the intensity up. The only way to really battle social anxiety is to be social. As much as I hate to say it. The more contacts you do the easier it'll become and the more you'll fight that fear and therefore you wont slip back into the swamp. I'd love to keep in contact with you and see how you're getting on then. I'll be becoming a coach in a years time, and I'll probably be travelling around to different courses in Europe during the summer months. So you never know, we may just cross paths! Good luck my friend, don't lose hope in The McGuire. Relapses happen to the best of us, I even met a fellow on the last course I was at who was off it for 12 years! He came back determined that he was going to make it work for him. When you're close to going on that course, please throw a PM my way!
