I turn 23 this year and I have only met 2 other people who stutter (excluding the one time I attended a National Stutterer’s Association meeting) The first was a kid I met at summer camp I was working the Recreation Staff (in charge of games, and setup/tear down for certain events) I remember he was 12 I was probably 18 - 20 at the time I told him to never be ashamed of who he is and that a stutter is not a flaw it is just a “much funner way to talk” that made him laugh it is a great memory never saw him any after that. The second guy was when I worked at GameStop he came in talked to me and asked some questions I answered we both stuttered intermittently throughout we acknowledged it with a nod and I never saw him again.
