Not really… You will almost certainly need to do radio communications to include sending receiving messages (to include basic encoding and decoding with NATO phonetic alphabet) to get out of basic. All doable… But 10x harder when under pressure and at a louder, faster, deeper (non-fluency enhancing) tone and cadence. It wasn’t until speech therapy last year that I learned several techniques to prime myself for better speech and for rapid recovery when things go to shit or I’m having a tough day. Anyway, I am not trying to discourage you… But I really want you to understand this path is hard and if you expect that the added pressure of the military is going to miraculously make your speech better and more confident, this was not entirely the case. Lots of other really great options that you may not have considered that might be better (and less abusive, injurious, and traumatizing).
