Medical school was ok, didn’t have much trouble, because mostly you’re graded on written exams and when you have practical exam, most doctors understand and are supportive. But then again, some doctors are outright judgmental and try to get you to quit but you just have to stand up for yourself and pick your fights. Residency on the other hand is harder because more patient interaction and a lot of communication. I hate team rounding or sign outs because of the group pressure and that makes my stuttering worse. Patients are the best part. Never had a problem with a patient with my stuttering. Nearly all patients understand and are ok with it. Clinics is also acceptable because your in a calm closed environment so you can take your time. I’m doing internal medicine
