Bad stutter in front of wife and waitress :(

Bad stutter in front of wife and waitress :( Just venting here. Went to a restaurant with wife today to treat her to her favourite food. Everything was going well, when the waitress asks us from a bit of a distance if we need anything else. We needed another garlic bread. Me: Can I please have a gg............. nothing..no words came out for what seemed like atleast 5-6 seconds. The most excruciating 6 seconds which probably felt like an eternity to me. I am flailing,trying to catch my breath, pointing at the bread. Dafuq man. The waitress had such a confused expression. My wife and she ended up completing my sentence and put me out of the misery. It is not even one of my "tough letters". But I just could not get the words out at that point. My confidence is shattered. I tried to keep this side hidden from my wife until now but I am pretty sure she already knows. She is very nice and supportive but just that feeling that you can't trust yourself, can't trust your words. They can abandon you at any point and leave you hanging and embarassed. The stammer has been pretty bad lately. Ya I know the waitress probably doesnt care and my wife is chill about it too but it justs hurts man. It breaks your confidence. Tldr: messed up an order at a restaurant due to bad stutter in front of wife and waitress and extremely embarassed as a result.
