There’s no undetected stroke. The odd facial movements are secondary behaviors caused by dramatic attempts to avoid eye contact (due to not wanting to see the listener’s facial expressions). Within days of starting to make eye contact, my odd facial contortions vanished. I learned this habit at age 42, and had been stuttering since age 4. I’m now 44 and always say what I want, when I want, and how I want.
