I understand how you feel but it frankly isn’t a matter of deserving. There are people who are born blind and there are people who were tortured and eventually killed while serving and protecting our country. If you become fixated on who deserves what you will not only become spiteful and hateful, but you will also not improve your state of mind. I have been on this planet for 20 years and I have learned something that allows me to cope with this crippling speech impediment. I’ve learned that life, unfortunately, is not fair but I like to look at it like this— we have it better than some people. Yes, we have it worse than most but it could be worse.
