I'm coming late to this, but just wanted to say that I totally understand. I hope that you stayed in the class, and spoke to the teacher. I remember a writing class that I REALLY wanted to take once, but then I realized that we were going to be required to read our work out loud. I bailed on it, which helped my anxiety in the short term, but long term it just made me feel like shit. I know how hard it is, but you know what, if I've learned anything at all that's helped my stutter, it's that 99.9% of other people genuinely don't care. Everyone's too involved with their own problems to get hung up over yours. Take care, and let us know what happens.
