There are elements of this thinking that are valid I think. It is healthy to acknowledge what is happening to us and just accepting it. But I think it's healthy to use that for empowerment. Ie we stutter but that won't stop us from enjoying things or trying things or whatever. But it can become unhealthy if it becomes defeatist. Ie stuttering is here with me forever and I have no hope. There is a certain liberation with just accepting a stutter and rolling with it. I'd encourage more stutterers to think that way. But add a healthy dose of self improvement with that and you can really go far. Also I'll add that speech therapy absolutely did great things for me. It is not a cure and never will be but speech therapy did utterly amazing things for me. It cannot be fully disregarded in my opinion, though of course it is not a cure.
