Oh my God. This makes me so sad. I just got out of college, and I'm going to start a job that involves programming. I actually like talking to people one on one about tech, so I wanted to eventually do something like a business analyst and maybe eventually promote to a project manager, but your stories are basically what I'm afraid of. Honestly, I don't mind doing tedious, repetitive work like your 5th job as an IT Coordinator, but of course those types of jobs don't pay as well which is why I want to do something like before you were demoted -- an analyst. Even if I don't get such jerks like your past jobs, I'll probably won't get promoted. For this reason, I think I might have to stick to programming if I want a higher salary even though I don't like it as much as helping people with tech. But to answer your question, I've really only had part-time jobs since I had school, so promotion wouldn't make sense for any of them. However, when I worked at Walgreens one of my managers said that I should consider management even though I both stuttered and had a shy demeanor. So maybe I do have a slim chance for the future? Anyway, I hope you can find a tech job that doesn't care if you have a stammer here and there. It might take a bit longer, but in the end, people can still understand us. We're not speaking a foreign language.
