I know exactly how you feel, I remember when the film 'The King's Speech' came out. Everyone I knew asked me if I had seen it. I have avoided ever watching that film because I know it would make me cry my eyes out aha. I really don't like thinking/talking about my stutter too. Yes, I work for a big company, I'm actually a contractor for the government. I have a standup meeting every day, at first, I hated it, I dreaded it every morning, but now I have just accepted it... I used to get annoyed at myself if I blocked really badly, but now I really don't care. My team know that I stutter, I have been talking to them every day for 2 years lol. I don't care anymore. When someone new joins the team I get a little bit self-conscious but overall I don't feel anxious in standup meetings anymore, sometimes it takes me awhile to get a word out, but as long as people understand me I don't care what they think. If you ever want advice, both technical or personal let me know. I am always happy to help. Texting or voice chat
