Stuttering and phone calls

Stuttering and phone calls Has anyone who stutters had to deal with debt collectors/bills on the phone? So I have a moderate stutter and when I’m on the phone it’s so much worse. To the point sometimes the person can’t understand me. I am behind on a credit card and I know it’s stupid but I haven’t called them because of my stutter. I always cry after getting off the phone. My credit agency won’t respond to emails they only have a number to call. If you’ve been through this what can I do?
