I don’t know in the uk, but in my country in order to be invalid you need a score or 46%. Being a stutterer grants up to 33% which is enough to classify yourself as a civil invalid but not enough to apply for some ‘benefits’. Basically they are saying “we aknowledge that you are dealing a condition, but well… deal with it by yourself”. It sucks. Many people here get rejected after the interview because they stammer, even in jobs which don’t require speaking as a primary necessity. It’s unfair to say the least
