To be fair these are customer centric roles within the company. But even still, I believe someone with disfluency could absolutely do the job just as well. We are in the medical space and a lot of our clients are actually SLP’s. So you’d think we would be better. The whole concept of the traditional interview process is dated anyway. I have no issues with someone who visibly shows signs of nervousness, whether or not they actually struggle with disfluency or they are just truly nervous and stumbling. We’re human beings and interviewing is nerve wracking. I don’t really understand the need to pretend that it isn’t.
