Cymbalta in high doses improves my stutter significantly. 60mg is the recommended maximum dose, but up to 120mg can be used in certain instances. When I went from 60 to 120mg, my stutter was basically cured. I take it as an antidepressant, but cymbalta also treats neuropathy and fibromyalgia. My prescriber and I think the nerve/muscle relaxing effects of cymbalta ease the tension in my jaw, mouth, and vocal cords so I can produce speech more fluently. Unfortunately I couldn't tolerate 120mg because of overheating, but 90mg is still beneficial for my stutter.
