I wanted to share with you a device called speech easy that truly makes stuttering almost gone when I use it. It’s a small ear piece that looks like a hearing aid (depending on the model). And it relays what you are saying with a slight millisecond delay in this Alvin the chipmunk voice. How does it work? It works because a phenomenon called the Carl effect. For some reason when stutterers speak in unison with people, we tend not to stutter. It tricks your brain into thinking you are speaking in unison with people.
