Describing Stutters Can anyone describe what their stutter feels like? I don’t mean emotionally rather describe the actual perception of what it feels like. For me, stuttering feels like my brain completely stops as if it has arms and one is being pulled in the direction of what it knows it wants to say and the other in the word itself. It keeps on looking back and forth at what it wants to say until I can reach my own hand in and help move it forward. It almost physically hurts my head, makes me clench my jaw a bit, and my right arm tends to feel like when you crave or eat something sour. I hope this makes sense to others and y’all can share your thoughts. I know there’s gotta be one other person with similar thoughts.
