I guess the only thing I can say that really "builds" confidence is having successful situations of speech. Not necessarily "stutter-free", of course. But situations where the stutter doesn't take over and disrupts your delivery. Unless you're talking about a purported mechanism whereby "confidence" will make you _fluent_? Not quite sure what you mean, in that case.
