Sentences that start with a word with a vowel are what I struggle with the most. My name starts with a vowel, so introducing myself is the hardest thing for me to get past. If I know I am meeting visitors at work and I can feel myself struggling, I usually carry a bottle of water. When I know it's time for them to get to me, I take a drink and act like water went down the wrong tube & hope someone says my name for me. Once it's out there; that's when I can bounce back and finally say my own name. It's a weird tactic, but I'm in survival mode, and my bosses know I have a stutter, so I think they know when I need help.
