As a stutterer, I can confirm this. I become nervous and want to throw all the phrases at once, then leave the stage especially in arguments. My voice is not so loud. I guess it happens because people have a sterortypes about stutterers have a lower voice and excpect them to be shy all the time! So, this is why they become confused
