This is why it’s good to have a gauge in the persons intentions I normally see when someone just has genuinely good intentions, like finishing my sentence for me to help me get it out.. in some instances people may even copy the stutter because they think I’m fking with them and just wanna play along with the joke. But when you first disclose: “I have a stutter” before you speak, This should wipe those misunderstandings immediately. If the person continues to laugh or poke, then that person isn’t trustworthy
