To some extent yes, I wish people knew I stuttered immediately. I have mild-moderate stutter which is worse in certain situations like introductions, ordering things. Obviously people often say "Did you forget your name?" or similar. Most people who I get to know realise after a few exchanges. However, people subconciously make judgments about you if you stammer (nervous, introverted etc) so I'd rather they just take me for how I appear to them rather than some "this man is a stutterer" preconception. I don't think I'd want to stutter more though (to make it more identifiable). Especially because I often have the tension when speaking even during fluent times and it is unpleasant. You aren't awful.
