We all have bad sides. Part of growing up is coming to terms with our negative sides. That's more a general idea though. Stuttering is a part of you, like with me. I'm 30 and still recall vivid memories of people laughing at me for speaking funny. Those experiences are not pleasant and leave their marks. They are a part of me though. I can never make them disappear or not have happened. As long as you fight it it will remain a foe to be vanquished. Eternal war is exhausting. I'd argue instead to simply accept it, if people have a problem with it then that's their problem. Easier said then done but every journey starts somewhere. Don't let it control your life. If you do that, you'll always be under its thumb. Better a free man than a slave.
