I think you're being a bit sensitive. In the English language the word stuttering is used to convey both behavior and disorder. The behavior exhibited by Kavanaugh is often called stuttering. It's different than the speech production disorder of stuttering. There isn't another word to refer to "momentary disruption in expressive oral language production."
