Can stuttering make a person "Too Sensitive"?

Can stuttering make a person "Too Sensitive"? I am not sure if this is something common among people who stutter. I recently read that stutters have a bit more compassion and empathic and emotional intelligence. I am 17, for as long as I can remember I've been able to have more understanding and empathy with people. I don't believe that is a trait I've inherited from me stuttering but I think stuttering amplifies those traits. Stuttering has caused me to spend a lot more time in my head and my own feelings so I am self aware of how I feel a lot of the time and very in touch with my emotions and be weary of trying not to hurt other peoples'. But, despite this, I can also take things very hard to heart and take things the wrong way. Which has led to me being described as "too sensitive" What I want to know is could anyone else relate to me or relate to being "too sensitive" and do you think it's because that's who you are or because of the stuttering.
