It will get better only if you allow it. You must learn to accept it, to roll with the punches, and reject any negative thoughts about stuttering. You will still stutter, and you will block for long periods of time on the simplest of words, but don't let the embarassement get the better of you. Stumble, pick yourself up and get up. You do that multiple times and it will become a habit, and in time, it will become a coping mechanism to look past it and to just go for it.
