Side Affect of amitriptyline

Side Affect of amitriptyline Hi, I recently started Amitriptyline and within 2 weeks I my body went into an anxious shock and I woke up with a stutter. I have been advised by a doctor this is a direct link to the medication and they have altered my brain chemistry into an anxious state. I am very jumpy and I can't speak very well. This has been ongoing for 2 months now. I stopped taking the meds after 2 weeks, the day I woke up with speech difficulties. Has anybody else suffered with anything similar from this medication? Thanks
