Yeah that sounds like really great advice. If you show overall confidence in yourself and just tell people you have a stutter when something like that happens it'll be a lot better than just embarrassly let it pass. The key is confidence. They might have felt awkward and didn't know how to respond to your stutter. Most people won't make fun of you, and especially if the girl liked you she would love to know more about you. And if they do keep making fun of you then don't be friends with them and know that there are lots of people out there who will be nice to you.
