If you are always keeping what others are thinking about you in your mind you will never be happy. Like, they think of you as a retard bc you stutter, then are you really a retard?(i.e neurologically diagnosed). If you were how could you type so much letters? So it really doesn't take any genius to figure out why we don't need to take others srsly. Also, if you didn't stutter, can you guarantee others wouldn't poke fun of your other deficits, or can you guarantee you are a perfect one if without stuttering? Once you got random deficits, others would potientially poke fun at you, like they would poke fun at your haircut, your stature, your voice, etc. Is it true that we gotta fix all of those problems just bc others are teasing us at these problems? It's undeniable human is social animal, but when societal perceptions are twisted/false, like of stuttering, why we should take them srsly? What we need to treat srsly if we really 'want' to need to, at least is correct perception, or value of individuals.
