That’s my experience as well. They feel awkward so they don’t encourage any discussion. Maybe they’re afraid of offending me or something. I wouldn’t know what to say to a person with a different disability and might feel a similar awkwardness; I might even try to discourage talking about it. Like maybe their stigma will rub off on me. Maybe humans are wired to reject people with disabilities - unconsciously.
