This was in a client service department dealing with mortgage loans, so we often discussed private client information over the phone. When you do this, you have to legally read a very specific script prior to continuing the conversation. Getting that initial chunk out at the very beginning got me in the mode of speaking I also had a shit ton of scripted sticky notes on my desk that I would turn to if I ever got a block… you could also always go “sorry, about that! I think there was a tech issue on my end. I appreciate your patience” or something like that
