Hmm I'm surprised that your family and friends haven't noticed that you stutter, those are usually the first ones to know. I'm what they call a covert stutterer, meaning I use filler words when I talk like "um, like, ya know," etc but I'm trying to cut down on using them as it distracts the listener. But you shouldn't avoid stuttering as it just makes it worse, trust me. There's gonna come a time in our lives where we just have to face that, "Look, this is gonna be with me for the rest of my life, and I have to make do and work with it. I'm gonna have bad days and good days and have to come to terms with that." If you come to that realization, then working with your stutter is gonna make it so much better/easier in the long run. Instead of seeing as pessimistic enemy, look at it as a best friend where you get along somedays greatly and others you just wanna rip their head off 😆 In addition to that, we're all gonna have to come to term with how our "voice" sounds like. It may be at age 18, 26, 35, or even 50 but that day will come. I hope this helps you, good luck and remember, someone out there is waiting to hear your voice, not matter how it sounds like. 😊
