Would you be willing to change your voice if it helps not stutter?

Would you be willing to change your voice if it helps not stutter? I noticed my dh will be fluent when he changes his voice like doing impersonations or sings, but stutters especially on the phone when he goes back to his normal voice. I’ve asked him to just drop his voice so it’s deeper or he can go higher and see if it could help but he seems like that is beneath him to mask his voice like that. Would you? For the sake of being more fluent?
