Like, stuttering is shorthand for weakness, meekness, creepiness... so much media uses that lazy trope. You see on this website even all the time reference to the Tropic Thunder Simple Jack character, which should have been used to lampoon and tear down that stereotype, but it's just used as a punchline and again a lazy shorthand for the character's deficiencies.
