My dad stuttered, mine was worse though, my youngest daughter stuttered really, really bad for about a week, then it went away on its own. I wouldn't forgo having children just because they may stutter because there's no guarantee they will. I do understand your sentiment though. I also factored this into my decision. I'm glad I went through with it because neither of my daughters have a stutter. If we had a boy though...
