Dissociation is the only solution

Dissociation is the only solution I don't want to bring people down, but comments like "Just live your life regularly" or "embrace your stutter and feel free to talk" are not doing any favors to anyone. Anyone who ever stuttered in public knows. The faces, the discomfort, the realization on their face, the connection ends abruptly and you're alone. You always had been. Before a lot of new environments in my life I told myself this is it, this is where I redeem myself. I can talk fluently if simply I tried hard enough. I prepared like crazy. Read books aloud, exercised my speech, but as days passed, every time, I understood - nothing changed, nothing will change, people are people. Why would they bother listening to you trying to utter a single fucking sentence when they can not? There are so many options out there besides you, why would anyone try? Be honest, if you didn't sttuter, would you connect to a stutter? Talking is the most primitive and basic human function, if we can't do this, what is left? What is even the point? Dissociation is key. Staying alone is key. I'm not saying this to be edgy, I mainly only read here, but I really care about people here and I want them not to cling onto false hopes, only to be shattered every time, over and over again. It's not something we like to hear, we want to believe that someday this stutter will go away, but eventually we have to face it. The quicker we get used to being alone, the better we'll feel. No point in fighting it. No point in changing the world, nor we can. Thank you for reading, I hope I made someone reevaluate his position. Love you guys
