We'll agree to disagree. I've never heard of anyone developing stutters just randomly out of the blue. But I've not met many people who stutter anyway. It is also well documented that stuttering in some individuals is neurological, which is the logical explanation for mine, developing when it did. I think it starts to get dangerous when you classify that everyone developed their stutters by just trying not to stutter. A lot of us developed stutters as small children, so in that context I am not so sure this applies.
