gotcha, thank you for giving a clear explanation of the whole bigger picture. You asked for my opinion, I'm not an expert on this. But, here are my 2 cents. You feel a heavy head and you think that this means synapse disconnection? But here is the thing, humans are unable to measure (or check) for brain synapse disconnection. We cannot actually measure this by ourselves. For all we know, this 'heavy head feeling' that you pointed out, is just a negative expectation, or selffulfilling prophecy, or something we have associated with speech motor control inhibition aka conditioning. Some people increase their stuttering, and others decrease their stuttering after sex, or after a head injury or head pain or any kind of head feeling (feeling heavy).
