A few things helped me during presentations (and still do to this day): * Preparation and practice in front of a mirror. I’d get my “script” down and practice saying it until I was comfortable speaking my text. * Relaxation technique right before going up there. One of the techniques I learned in speech therapy in college that helped is tensing and relaxing my muscles groups. Started with neck/jaw, then chest, one arm, other arm, etc all the way to my toes. Tense each group one by one for 10 seconds then release, breathe deeply a few times, and imagine the tension leaving my body. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it seemed to help quite a bit and I still use it to this day. * While you’re up presenting, look at people’s foreheads. Eye contact always made me nervous, but this way it appears to the audience like you’re looking them in the eye. Works in conversations also. You’ll do great. We’re all rooting for you.
