I'm not against advertising. Many stutterers find it helpful. Its good to try at least once and see what works for you. I may have misinterpreted you, but I don't think it's necessary spending several minutes off the bat talking all about the stutter. In the beginning of the interview, I don't think the interviewer wants to hear rambling about anything. Answers are best kept concise. They can always ask follow-ups. Like I said, if you want to discuss your stuttering in depth, work it into an answer rather than just going on and on about it.
