should i work and get a degree in the criminal justice field if i stutter ?

should i work and get a degree in the criminal justice field if i stutter ? i’m currently a 16 year old boy who’s a junior in high school that stutters. i’m extremely self conscious about it, i normally stay to myself and my friends know that i stutter because it’s noticeable. after i graduate high school i want to go to college and get a degree in criminal justice. because they pay pretty well and it seems really interesting investigating crime scenes or what not. but the thing that’s holding me back is my stuttering. i’m scared nobody will hire me because of my stuttering especially in the criminal justice field. since it can be a stressful field depending on what job i’d have like if me and my partner was in a emergency and what if my stutter resist me from me saying a command that can determine life or death ? and i don’t want to waste 2 to 4 years of my life in college (since i’m still deciding if i want to go to community college or a 4 year school) and money on a degree that i may or may not get a job in. i also want to move to florida from virginia after college to start on my criminal justice career. so i thought of being a trooper for the florida highway patrol but once again, my stuttering may prevent me from getting a job or from me saying important commands.
