Tech Sales Role Hi Guys, I'm a recent graduate (M23) and I've been offered an interview for a Tech Sales (SaaS) role for a startup.. its very well paid and I'd be silly to turn it down for a first grad job. I am a generally confident, outgoing person, I love chatting to new people but of course my stutter makes me second guess whether I would be successful in sales. Should I disclose my stutter immediately in my interview? Or would this turn off a prospective employer? I have a lot of successful internship experience in other fields like Law, and I always disclosed my stutter - this has always proved successful and lessened any stress or tension I had. However these are different industries and people in law don't need to be Uber-confident and have amazingly "fluent" speech. I know in theory it shouldn't matter and no one is allowed to reject you for your stutter ... but ... we all know that this plays a massive part sometimes especially with recruiters and interviewers who aren't familiar with people who stutter. I'd love to hear any advice you have, especially if you've worked/work in sales and stutter. I don't have time to be negative towards myself (I've done enough of that in the past and it's gotten me nowhere!) and I have full confidence I would be great and I would love to give it a go as its a fast paced industry which I find exciting. Just wondering what advice you would have re: Sales Employers/Recruiters.
