Worst thing was trying to read aloud in 1st grade and the teacher saying in front of the class I was too dumb to be there and frog marched me into the kindergarten class and said I belonged back in there. I still think about how much of a bitch she was and I wish I had the chance to just lay into her, I’m 46 now and I’m pretty sure I’ll feel this way until the day I die. Can’t really think of anything positive from my stuttering, I’m more fortunate than many since my stutter is rather mild and after a couple years of speech therapy I pretty much had it under control. Many people I’ve known for years don’t even know about it.
