If your fluency is impeding you from unfettered oral communication and detracting from your social life, you need to seek out speech therapy. I am a person that stutters and is also a speech therapist: I do not consider myself disabled, although in the past I had a severe/profound fluency impairment. If you want to improve your fluency (key word is if YOU want to), go to an SLP, reach out to stuttering support group or you can reach out to me if you just want to talk about stuttering issues.
