Awesome. This is the way. I'm still stuttering myself, but I've been being incredibly open about to everybody I come in contact with. It helps A LOT to release a load of anxiety, making me way more relaxed about everywhere. It's good exposure. Also, I feel that kindly mentioning "Hey, I have a stutter, so I might struggle a bit" is sort of another way of asking, "Hey, could you please be considerate?" People like being told what to do in such situations. It makes them feel good. Most people, generally speaking, will automatically be considerate, as you indirectly asked them to be considerate. I feel that mentioning my stutter to other people has been such a relief. Way less stressed about my stutter when speaking to people. You, on the other hand, had a person who basically made a little joke towards you, and you took it like a champ. I'm struggling with such things still, but I'm working on it. I usually get cross with such things. I'm working on it still. Good stuff. :)
